Your Data, Your Control
Caffeinated Softworks builds applications with privacy in mind. Our apps store data on your device first, and only sync to our servers if you choose to create an account. You can use many of our applications completely offline with no account, and your data never leaves your device unless you opt in.
When you enable sync, your data is encrypted in transit and at rest on our servers. We store your data on our servers to sync across your devices, but we do not access, analyze, or sell your content.
What We Collect
Without an account: We collect no personal data. Anonymous crash reports may be sent if you opt in.
With an account: We collect your email address for authentication and communication. If you subscribe, payment is processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe (web). We store subscription status but not payment details like credit card numbers.
When using sync: Your data and related content are stored on our servers to enable sync across your devices.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide and improve our services:
- Email: Account login, password reset, and important service updates
- Synced content: Syncing across your devices
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, data mining, or any purpose unrelated to providing and improving our applications.
How Each App Handles Your Data
Caffeinated Calendar
Caffeinated Calendar connects to calendar services such as Google Calendar, Apple iCloud, and Microsoft Office 365 to display and manage your events.
What we access: When you connect a calendar account, the app accesses your calendar events, event details (titles, dates, times, locations, descriptions, and attendees), and tasks. When signing in to Google or Microsoft, the app also accesses basic profile information (your name and email address) to identify your account within the app.
How we use it: Your calendar data is used only to display and manage your events and tasks within Caffeinated Calendar. We do not use your calendar data for any other purpose.
Storage: Your calendar data is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to Caffeinated Softworks servers. If you remove a calendar account from the app, the locally stored data for that account is deleted from your device.
Sharing and transfers: We do not sell, share, transfer, or disclose your calendar data to any third parties. Your calendar data stays on your device and communicates directly with your calendar provider’s servers.
Data protection: Google and Microsoft account sign-in is handled through each provider’s secure OAuth process, so the app never sees or stores your password for those services. For CalDAV-based services such as iCloud, your credentials are stored in your device’s secure credential storage (Keychain on Apple devices, Keystore on Android). All communication with calendar providers is encrypted using HTTPS.
Caffeinated Vitals
Caffeinated Vitals stores health data including blood pressure readings, weight, glucose levels, SpO2 readings, and medication records.
Storage: All health data is stored locally on your device. If you create a free Caffeinated account and enable sync, your health data is also stored on our servers to keep your devices in sync. Synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How we use it: Your health data is used only to display your readings, track trends, and generate reports within the app. We do not access, analyze, or share your health data for any other purpose.
Sharing and transfers: We do not sell, share, transfer, or disclose your health data to any third parties. The report feature lets you export your own data to share with your doctor, but this is always initiated by you.
Caffeinated Notes
Caffeinated Notes stores your notes, notebooks, checklists, and tasks.
Storage: All notes are stored locally on your device. If you subscribe and enable sync, your notes are also stored on our servers to keep your devices in sync. Synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How we use it: Your notes are used only to display and organize your content within the app. We do not read, analyze, or share your notes for any other purpose.
Sharing and transfers: We do not sell, share, transfer, or disclose your notes to any third parties. The sharing feature lets you choose to share specific notes or notebooks with other members of your subscription, but this is always initiated by you and limited to people you select.
Caffeinated Checkbook
Caffeinated Checkbook stores financial data including transaction records, account balances, payee information, and category assignments.
Storage: All financial data is stored locally on your device. If you subscribe and enable sync, your financial data is also stored on our servers to keep your devices in sync. Synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How we use it: Your financial data is used only to display transactions, calculate balances, and generate reports within the app. We do not access, analyze, or share your financial data for any other purpose.
Sharing and transfers: We do not sell, share, transfer, or disclose your financial data to any third parties. The household sharing feature lets you choose to share accounts with other members of your subscription, but this is always initiated by you and limited to people you select.
Third-Party Service Disclosures
Caffeinated Calendar’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Apple
Caffeinated Calendar accesses Apple iCloud calendar data using the CalDAV protocol. We do not collect, store on our servers, or share your iCloud calendar data. The app communicates directly with Apple’s servers, and all data remains on your device.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on our servers as long as your account is active. If you delete content, it may be moved to trash and permanently deleted after 30 days. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. This applies to all synced data across all of our apps, including notes, health readings, financial records, and account information.
Data stored locally on your device is under your control. In Caffeinated Calendar, locally stored data for a calendar account is removed when you remove that account from the app. For all apps, local data is removed when you uninstall the app. Local data is not affected by Caffeinated account deletion.

If we make changes to how we handle your data, we will update this page and notify you through the app or by email. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time.
