Validox is a compliance platform built for the real estate industry. It provides Valuation Audit Compliance Services for lenders and appraisal management companies (AMCs), generating the documentation necessary to meet appraisal regulations and support regulatory audits.
The Validox platform was originally built by Innovotel, LLC, which has since merged into Caffeinated Softworks.
Innovotel is no longer affiliated or associated with Validox in any capacity. Caffeinated Softworks, as Innovotel’s successor, has no affiliation with Validox.
The Challenge
Validox came to Innovotel in 2016 after working with another development company for more than 14 months. While that company had created a website and released it publicly, less than half of the features worked, and those that did were unreliable. Many of the core features did not function at all.
What I Built
I was initially brought in to help fix the broken sections of the system. After a few weeks, the client decided to hand the entire project over to me.
The original site had been built using the previous company’s in-house framework, which had significant problems with database design, coding practices, and security. It was more cost-effective to start from scratch, keeping only the site design.
After just four months, I rebuilt the project from the ground up. The new platform handled significantly more traffic and daily users than the original, and was delivered at less than half the cost of the initial developer.
Continued Development (2016 - 2024)
Over nearly eight years, I designed, built, and maintained the full Validox platform through Innovotel. What started as a rescue project grew into a comprehensive compliance system that helped establish Validox as a leading provider in the valuation audit space. Major areas of development included:
- USPAP compliance automation for residential and commercial appraisals
- Automated report generation for lenders and AMCs
- API integrations with industry partners and data providers
- Scalable infrastructure to support growing transaction volumes
- Ongoing feature development driven by evolving regulatory requirements
The platform and its capabilities were built entirely by me throughout this period.
