Account Deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data for any application developed by Caffeinated Softworks, LLC.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: From the App
Open the app on your device, navigate to Settings, and look for Delete Account in the Account section. Confirm your decision when prompted, and your account will be permanently deleted.
Option 2: Contact Us
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion by email, send a message to hello@caffeinatedsoftworks.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Include the email address associated with your account and the name of the app. We will process your request within 7 business days.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Account information — Your email address and authentication credentials
- Synced content — All data stored on our sync servers, including notes, files, and attachments
- Subscription data — Your subscription status and history
- Sync history — Operation logs and version history
This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What Data Is NOT Deleted
The following data is not affected by account deletion:
- Local data — Content stored on your device remains on your device. Our apps work offline-first, so your local data is independent of your account.
- Payment records — Transaction records held by Apple, Google, or Stripe are governed by their respective policies. We do not store your payment details.
- Anonymized analytics — If you opted into crash reporting, anonymized crash data may be retained for debugging purposes. This data cannot be linked back to you.
Retention Period
After you request account deletion:
- Your account is immediately deactivated and you will be logged out
- All your data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days
- Backups containing your data are purged within 90 days
During this period, your data is not accessible and cannot be recovered.
Before You Delete
Before deleting your account, consider:
- Export your data — Use the export or backup feature in your app’s Settings to download your data
- Cancel your subscription — If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the App Store or Play Store to avoid future charges
- Local data remains — Your data on your device will still be available after account deletion, but it will no longer sync
